This contest is open to home gardeners, community gardeners, children, school groups – to anyone who's growing their own pumpkins for private use, not for sale.

-- The six categories in this contest are:
(1) Best Overall Pumpkin
(2) Largest Pumpkin
(3) Smallest Pumpkin (at maturity)
(4) Best Pumpkin Grown by a Child (12 and under)
(5) Best Pumpkin Relative (melon, squash or gourd)
(6) Goofiest Pumpkin ("pumpkins with possibilities" – such as celebrity look-alikes, or spooky faces, or just supremely odd and wacky shapes)
