Growing & Maintenance Tips
Full sun, moist, well-drained soil. Basil is very sensitive to cold temperatures and should not be transplanted outside until the temps have warmed.Great in tomato sauce and pesto. Can be used fresh, dried, or frozen. Has a rich spicy mildly peppery flavor excellent for Italian dishes, potpourris and vinegars.

Interesting Information
Ocimum is from the Greek word okimom for an aromatic herb. Dig plant in fall for indoor use in a windowsill planter. Attracts hummingbirds.
