Paeonia 'Sarah Bernhardt'

Peony

Large, double soft apple-blossom pink flowers, red speckles add sparkling accent to this classic, fragrant, great cutflower. Green foliage.

Growing & Maintenance Tips
Full sun or light shade, well-drained soil. Some reason peonies may not bloom include planting too deeply, planting too closely to trees and shrubs and soil that is too dry. Do not over fertilize, only every several years. Specimen plant in the perennial border and for cut flowers. The flowers are very showy.

Interesting Information
Paeonia is of the Greek derivation from the name of the physician Paeon. Pluto changed Paeon into a flower in gratitude for Paeon's successful cure after Hercules defeated Pluto. Parts of the plant are poisonous.
