Growing & Maintenance Tips
Switch grass prefers moist, fertile soil in full sun, although it tolerates extremes in soil conditions, from sand to heavy clay and from dry slopes to boggy areas. Switch grass is effective planted alone or massed in groups. Tall cultivars make excellent background plants. Good for naturalizing and attracting wildlife. Along roadsides, as a groundcover, for erosion control.
