Medium-moist soils, in full sun to partial shade. Moist places, near streams, prairies, roadsides, naturalizing areas. Taller and better han regular Black-eyed Susan.
Interesting Information
Rudbeckia, named after botanist Olaf Rudbeck, (1630-1702), professor at Upsala, Sweden and teacher of Linnaeus, and possibly also for his son, also named Olaf and also a botany professor at Upsala (1660-1740).
