Requires a cool moist environment in partial shade. This grass should be planted where it can cascade down slopes, drape over rocks, crawl over the edges of walls, at the front of the garden, or even in containers.

Interesting Information
Named after Hakone, a region in Japan where they can be found growing wild in shady areas. Deer resistant.
