Echinacea purpurea 'Meringue'
Coneflower
Double white Echinacea with pom-pom flowers. White ray petals surround a creamy yellow pom-pom with an apple green center. As the flowers age, the pom-pom expands and turns a lighter yellow color. Long, dark green leaves.
Growing & Maintenance Tips
Full sun, drought tolerant, best in a well-drained soil. Light shade will enhance the richer colors in hot weather. Border, cut flower, and naturalized area. Soft-textured plants should be planted nearby to offset the rigid texture of the coneflower.
Interesting Information
Echinacea comes from the Greek word echinos, meaning hedgehog, referring to the flowers' spiky central cone.
