Belamcanda chinensis 'Hello Yellow'

Leopard Lily

A profusion of bright yellow, star-shaped flowers are produced on compact plants. Though the typical Belamcanda flower is heavily spotted, 'Hello Yellow' is not. Its foliage is sword-shaped like that of a tall bearded iris. Tan, pear-shaped pods burst open to reveal clusters of black seeds resembling blackberries, hence the common name.

Growing & Maintenance Tips
Prefers full sun in well-drained soil. Wet winters are not good for Belamcanda. Plants are persistant thru the winter and are attractive in fresh or dried flower arrangements.
