Chasmanthium latifolium

Chasmanthium latifolium (River Oats)

River Oats

The flat green seedheads hang on narrow slightly arching stems and persist into winter turning reddish bronze. Bamboo like green foliage.

Growing & Maintenance Tips
Grows best in deep, rich soil in partial shade with plenty moisture, although it will grow in less than ideal conditions. Effective planted in masses in tubs and containers. It is a good flowering accent in shady and damp situations and its drooping habit is beautifully displayed along the water's edge.

Interesting Information
Since its flowers are beautiful at all stages of maturity, this grass is good in fresh and dried arrangements.
