Echinacea purpurea

Echinacea purpurea (Purple Coneflower)

Purple Coneflower

Purple drooping petals, center disk is brown, slightly later than the pale-purple coneflower. Long dark green leaves.

Growing & Maintenance Tips
Medium soils, does well in part shade. Openings in moist woods, wooded bottomland, border, cutflower, and naturalized areas. Soft-textured plants should be planted nearby to offset the rigid texture of the purple coneflower.

Interesting Information
