Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue'
Blue Fescue
Plumes tower over blue mounds with buff-colored seed heads. Very blue-grey foliage.
Growing & Maintenance Tips
Blue fescue should be planted in full sun and well-drained soil. It will tolerate dry, infertile soils. Use as an edging plant or planted in mass on a bank or anywhere a groundcover is needed. Blue fescue is salt tolerant and would be useful for seashore plantings.
Interesting Information
Festuca from Latin festuca, stalk or stem. This is an improved cultivar, more heat and humidity tolerant than other blue fescues.
