Sweet Woodruff

Fragrant white star-shaped flowers, aromatic. Dark green fine-textured foliage.

Growing & Maintenance Tips
For full season growth, the plant should be placed in a partial to full shade site with moist, well-drained soil. Woodruff is an old-fashioned perennial that is useful for the rock garden, naturalized area, as a groundcover, or as an edging plant in the shaded border.

Interesting Information
Galium is derived from the Greek word, galion which was the name of the plant described by Dioscorides as one used for curdling milk. The fragrant dried foliage is excellent for sachets or potpourris.
