Starting your garden from seeds is not only an economical and sustainable choice, it’s also a fascinating and rewarding activity during the gray days of midwinter. We will discuss beginning basics from reading a seed packet, estimating your sowing timeline and transplant needs, to gathering the necessary equipment and supplies. Participants will learn germination techniques and apply them to start four different varieties of seed: Broccoli, Basil, Butterfly Milkweed and Four O’Clocks. You will take home your four 6-packs of seed starts to continue growing at home and eventually out in the garden. Workshop is limited to 15 people. Call 314-454-6868 to reserve your spot.
