We had the perfect opportunity to sow our sweet peas this week. Sarah and Susannah swiped some bamboo trellis kits from the shop and built the perfect little structure for our peas. They also decided to use the seeds as an experiment. One set of seeds was soaked over night while the other was scarred by chipping away at the shell to allow more water to penetrate. We will let you know which seeds germinate faster. I’m also happy to report back that the poppy seeds have just started to peak through the soil! It’s a miracle! Despite the obstacles- torrential rains after we planted them several weeks back, along with plunging temperatures and a frozen landscape, they have sprouted! I have included a photo below but you may need to zoom in- they are tiny little things!
Enjoy this lovely break in the weather!
